Terms of Service

1. The service

IDarU lets you create private challenges between friends, log progress, take proof photos, talk in each challenge’s chat (text and third-party GIFs), keep streaks, earn trophies and — if you want to — share results on a public Feed. By creating an account you accept these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use IDarU.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity on your account. Usernames and display names may not impersonate others or contain offensive language — the app runs an automatic filter over names and messages, and that filter does not replace your own responsibility.

4. Honor system

Progress is logged manually. Proof photos are confirmed by another member of the challenge, not by us: it is a tool between friends, not an official verification. There are no monetary prizes or official competitions.

5. Health disclaimer

Physical challenges (exercise, running, etc.) are your own responsibility. Consult a health professional before starting demanding exercise programs. IDarU provides no medical advice and is not liable for injuries.

6. Your content and the license you grant us

By "your content" we mean everything you create in the app: challenges and goals, progress logs, proof photos, chat messages, GIFs you choose to send, profile picture, name and Feed posts.

The content stays yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process and display it to the people it is meant for — the approved members of the challenge and, for posts you choose to share, users of the public Feed. The license exists only to operate the service and ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for having the right to post what you post, including the image rights of anyone who appears in your photos.

7. Zero tolerance for objectionable content

We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. It is forbidden to post, send or share, anywhere in the app:

Nudity, sexual or sexually suggestive content; graphic violence, cruelty or incitement to violence; hate, discrimination or slurs against people or groups; harassment, threats, stalking or bullying; illegal content or content promoting illegal activity (drugs, weapons, child exploitation, fraud); self-harm, eating disorders or challenges that endanger health; spam, scams or impersonation.

It is equally forbidden to photograph other people without their consent, and to post any image of a minor.

Break these rules and you lose the content, and may lose the account — for serious violations, immediately and without warning.

8. Reporting, blocking and what happens next

You can report any content: a message or GIF (long press the bubble), a proof photo ("Report photo" under the proof) or a profile (button on the member profile). You can also block any user; you stop seeing their messages and can undo it in Settings → Legal → Blocked users.

We commit to reviewing every report within 24 hours, removing content that breaks these terms and suspending or deleting the accounts responsible.

9. Third-party GIFs

GIF search is provided by GIPHY and limited to the G rating, the most restrictive GIPHY offers. GIFs are third-party content: we neither create nor endorse them, and your device connects to GIPHY servers to display them (see the Privacy Policy). If you see a GIF that should not be there, report the message.

10. Public Feed (optional)

Sharing to the Feed is your choice, post by post. What you share becomes visible to other users of the app, under the same content rules as this page. Proof photos never go to the Feed. You can delete a post at any time.

11. Advertising

The app may show ads (Google AdMob). In the EU, personalized ads only with your consent; without it, non-personalized ads are shown. You can change or withdraw that choice in Settings → Legal → Privacy and ads.

12. Suspension and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Account). Deletion is irreversible.

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms, and do so immediately where the violation is serious or puts other people at risk.

13. Limitation of liability

IDarU is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app, nor for content created by other users. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

14. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will notify you in the app of material changes. Portuguese law applies. Contact: legal@idaru.app.
